Bureau of Indian Education’s (BIE) ongoing work in transitioning to, and implementing college- & career-ready standards and use of high quality, interim assessments aims to improve BIE education system, increase the quality of instruction for students, and improve student achievement. (BIE, 2016).

BIE’s vision is that by using MAP data to shape classroom instruction, each student will learn essential concepts and skills identified in the college- and career-ready standards and thereby help prepare them for college and for careers in the 21st century (BIE, 2016).

MAP assessments should be administered in fall, winter and spring (BIE, 2016). View MAP 2018-2019 testing schedule.
